Intermittent Services
Our Intermittent Services provide individualized support to help people with intellectual disabilities live as independently as possible while remaining in their own home or in the home of their natural family.
Services are provided by agency staff on an intermittent basis and are tailored to each individual’s specific needs, abilities, goals, and preferences. Support may include assistance with daily living skills, household responsibilities, community activities, appointments, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, and other areas where additional guidance or assistance may be beneficial.
The goal of Intermittent Services is to provide the right level of support while encouraging independence and personal choice. By providing assistance when it is needed, individuals can continue living in a familiar environment while developing skills, maintaining important family and community connections, and becoming more confident in their everyday lives.
At Progress Port, Inc., we believe support should enhance independence—not replace it. Intermittent Services are designed to help each individual build upon their strengths and enjoy greater independence while knowing assistance is available when needed.
